The Male Soldier (also known as infantry) is a long-range unit unlocked upon starting Episode 3 on the first playthrough of the game. Unlocking this class also unlocks the ability to purchase TEC-based weaponry.
The Male Soldier is basically a Warrior with the ability to use TEC weapons. Being the first long-range attacker available to the player, he has mediocre HP and DEF. To compensate, he gains rather heavy weaponry such as the Gatling Gun and Bazooka, which makes up for his lackluster HP Aptitude. The majority of his weapons weaken his Movement Range.
Infantry units are serviceable for the main Story, though they will find themselves out-done by more capable Classes over time.
